Crufts - judge Jeanna Jaques
1st Open CC BOB |
Classicus Cassander JW ShCM impressive hound in a class of his own. One from an outstanding Swedish/Australian combination litter of which his breeder can be justly proud. Sadly, although I share his affix (separate interest) I can claim no input or credit. This elegant dog of great quality has a balanced outline, handsome head, well muscled neck, smooth topline and arch over loin. A very long and powerful croup. Good fill in front and spring of rib. Delightfully collected easy light and lifting side action. True coming and going. Powerful quarters and second thigh with moderate bend of stifle. CC & BOB

This 2 year old male is just a pleasure to go over in all respects, your hands
tell you that this animal is all quality, each part flowing into the next. Has a dignified air and carries himself with effortless gliding action and positive footfall, he just appealed more each time I watched. Delighted (but not surprised) to learn he gained his title at Crufts just a week ago. |

Group Critique - I awarded this chap his first CC as a youngster and was pleased to have the chance to see him again. I love his type, style and conformation and he has become an impressive male. He was sound and had a wonderful air about him, but in the final move he just lacked sparkle. |

Houndshow - judge Debbie Copperthwaite
2nd Open RCC |
Ch Classicus Cassander JW ShCM, top quality b/cr with lots of ring presence & style, presents a lovely outline especially moving which is very sound both ends & free flowing in profile, handsome correct head, perfect front, topline & underline. Up against a fully mature male & he needs to drop in upper arm & second thigh to complete the picture. Just like 1 one of the few who could handle the rough ring surface without it affecting soundness of movement, beautifully conditioned & presented.

He has a lovely head and eye with a dignified expression, clean sloping shoulders and a beautifully balanced body. He is so sound on the move with a very light, smooth and effortless side gait. His lovely feathering completed the picture of this very glamorous dog. |
