I was pleased with all my winners but especially my BOB who gave
excellent account of himself & the breed by winning the hound group. CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM handsome b/tri male who has a noble graceful outline & looks powerfully made. Sound well made front & forequarters with a body of proportional length. Good depth in chest of oval cut & he is well ribbed back & possesses ideal body proportions & balance. He has a refined head with a noble expression set on a strong neck of good length. Sound in front & forequarters with pleasing forechest & body cover & ideal topline having a gentle rise over the loin. Firm well muscled moderate rear angulations. Stands foursquare & just appears to be a sound & an athletic running hound. Impressive movement especially in side gait having super head carriage & an action of power, reach & drive, pleased to award him the CC & BOB. Later watched him top a good quality hound group. Group Critique - G1 the Saluki male, CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM, this is a beautifully crafted dog & just stood out in this very good group. Carrying the right amount of body and condition. Everything fits together so well. Smooth, silky coat with good feathering. Moved on an effortless, light stride with reach and drive. BIS Critique - CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM gave a good account of himself both standing & on the move. I was taken by his topline & ground covering movement. Judge Stuart Plane. |

OD (16) 1 Glaister & Parker’s Ch Classicus Cassander JW ShCM,
outstanding b/t tri who I had never seen in the flesh before but he certainly has it all. Most beautiful head, expression & fringing, long neck, excellent shoulder & upper arm, correct feet & slight slope to pasterns, deep brisket, good topline & length of loin, moderate quarters, long tail. In lovely coat & very fit condition, he moves so well both in profile, with lift reach & drive & very sound in all directions. CC & BOB & pleased to see he was in the last 8 in the hound group. |

CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM - Elegant black tricolour who was beautifully presented. Good head and expression with long neck into smooth withers. Good lay back of shoulder with correct return of upper arm. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib. Nice flat, bladed bone with good feet and pasterns. Sound effortless mover. A lovely dog in many respects but, for me, he is too long in the back and therefore could not award him higher honours.

CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM. Loved his refined masculine head and expression and pretty much everything about him but especially his superb movement which is of the kind not often seen these days, light, lifting, ground covering, economical and effortless. I would prefer a slightly darker eye but that is nit-pickingly nit-picking. A fabulous dog.

Group Critique - One more look at movement & it had to be the Saluki, Ch Classicus Cassander JW ShCM, for the top spot. A very smart quality bred boy who is so very well constructed with typical desired headpiece & a gentle expression, carried proudly on a well muscled neck let into well laid shoulders, stands on excellent boned front with good depth of brisket & tuck-up, nice strong loin & quarters with correct bend of stifle. Moved out effortlessly with a lovely flowing gait, presented with silky coat & nicely feathered tail to complete the picture. |

1st BD BOB GROUP 1 - judge Espen Engh |
CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM. Most glamorous black/tan tri,
stunning head qualities which has excellent balance throughout. Super eye and expression with good fringing, his neck just flows into a clean well laid shoulder; one of only a few with sufficient upper arm. He is well ribbed with a correct topline which leads to a firm loin with correct croup and tail set. His bone is of quality with just the right amount of slope in pastern, finished with excellent feet. He puts the issue to bed on the move, displaying such reach and drive being so parallel on the out and back and holding a true outline on the go around he looked a picture of health with his coat gleaming with well defined muscle tone. Pleased to award him BD and BOB even more delighted to witness him take the Hound Group under the highly regarded Espen Engh! Group Critique - CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM. Outstanding beautiful black and silver dog, combining masculine power and strength with elegance and grace of outline. Ideal proportions and excellent overall balance for his breed; a perfect example of being typically moderate without being mediocre in any way. Classical head with moderate width of skull. Dignified, exotic expression from oval shaped eyes. Long and strong neck , well set into sloping shoulders with balanced return of upper arm. Correct slightly arched loin, well set and carried tail. In excellent condition for both coat and musculature. Above all he moved with an outstanding balance and typical light and effortless gait, never missing a step, seemingly able to go on all day, and on top of that dead sound coming and going which is rare indeed in this breed. |

CH Classicus Cassander JW ShCM, last time I judged this dog I felt he still

Ch Classicus Cassander JW ShCM, a stunning b/s boy, with a beautiful head & expression. I judged him & liked him when he was a youngster & he has not disappointed now fully mature. Good front & rear assembly. In good muscular condition. Best mover in this class today. He moved steady & had a flowing outline. Another dog with lovely feet. Today he did nothing wrong but in the challenge I preferred the type & overall shape of my CC winner, RCC. A credit to his owner & breeder
